Thank you for visiting our website! As one of the leading Philadelphia home care agencies, we want to make sure our home care clients and their families feel comfortable with the people and level of care they receive.

One of the best ways to build rapport and trust is to get to know a person better! With that in mind, we wanted to introduce you to the staff of Pennsylvania Agency of Nurses. While the staff won’t necessarily be the personnel providing in home care services to your family, they are an integral part of our team, and set the tone for the services we provide to Philadelphia families. (If you’d like to “meet” our caregivers, visit our Caregiver Profile page!)

Let’s meet Emily, the Billing & Payroll Specialist for PA Agency of Nurses!philadelphia in home care profiles nursing staff

Emily joined Pennsylvania Agency of Nurses in 2016, and her role within our company is to ensure that weekly payroll and billing is done accurately. This includes communicating with clients and caregivers alike to confirm correct information on timecards, and to ensure disputes are resolved in a timely manner. Here’s what she has to say about the importance of home care for seniors and others who need assistance:

“I think home care is important because it allows an individual to receive high quality and individualized care in the comfort of their own home. Personally, I think the bond between clients and caregivers is really special. I always enjoy hearing that a caregiver and their client have bonded over shared interests or shared stories about their families and life experiences. I admire the caregiver’s compassion and dedication to their clients. It is a relationship with a caregiver I would hope to have when I am in that stage of life.”

What is most important to you in your role at Pennsylvania Agency of Nurses?

“I want to treat caregivers and clients with kindness and respect. I will always make sure I am communicating effectively and giving them accurate information.” If you’ve read anything about how our organization hires personnel, you’ll understand why someone with Emily’s attitude fits right in…we take extra care to bring staff and caregivers on board who have a similar drive to act with kindness, compassion, and respect for human dignity.

According to Emily, one of the most important things for clients to know is that they can still maintain a sense of independence, even as they begin to receive in home care. Further, “transitioning into old age can be challenging, but it doesn’t always mean [that a person has] to surrender to their illness or condition. Through home care, they can receive the care and assistance they need to live their daily lives.” (One of PAN’s specialties is Assistance with Daily Living…read more here!)

Emily holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Fordham, and is currently working towards her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health CounselingShe is one of three girls and has a rescue dog named Tater. Emily enjoys traveling and the occasional freelance florist job.
