Thank you for visiting our website! As one of the leading Philadelphia home care agencies, we want to make sure our home care clients and their families feel comfortable with the people and level of care they receive.

One of the best ways to build rapport and trust is to get to know a person better! With that in mind, we wanted to introduce you to the staff of Pennsylvania Agency of Nurses. While the staff won’t necessarily be the personnel providing in home care services to your family, they are an integral part of our team, and set the tone for the services we provide to Philadelphia families. (If you’d like to “meet” our caregivers, visit our Caregiver Profile page!)

Let’s meet Colleen, the President for PA Agency of Nurses!Colleen-in-home-care-pennsylvania.png

Colleen joined Pennsylvania Agency of Nurses in 2016 as our President, after 20 years in the home care industry. In her role as President, Colleen is responsible for the overall management and operations of the agency. This involves building relationships with clients, employees, staff, third parties, and more. Before joining PAN, Colleen was the President and CEO for a private duty home care agency which was a subsidiary of a retirement community. During her tenure, Colleen lead and oversaw the entire process of developing that private duty agency into a fully Medicare-Certified Home Health Agency.

What is one thing you wish Philadelphia families knew about in home care?

“It’s often hard to admit when it is time for additional help at home. It is a very difficult decision for clients and families, and they often have much anxiety over it. While seeing clients and families go through this emotional roller coaster is difficult, I find it very rewarding to be able to help them navigate through this process.” While the decision to hire in home care can be difficult, the staff and caregivers at PAN stand ready to assist your family in any way.

What is the most rewarding part of managing in home care for Philadelphia families?

“I feel such a sense of pride knowing I am enhancing [clients’] quality of life in the comfort of their home. Home is where the heart is…Positively impacting so many lives on such a personal level is what I enjoy most about my career in home care.” Colleen is not alone in this sentiment; PAN takes great care to hire CNAs, HHAs, LPNs, and RN Geriatric Care Managers that find fulfillment in improving the lives of others.
