Where are you from? I have lived in Delaware County, Pennsylvania my entire life.pennsylvania in home care caregiver colleen

What are your qualifications? BSN, RN

How long have you been in the home care industry? 20 years

What is it about your job that inspires you?
I find it very rewarding to be able to have the opportunity to interact with families and their loved ones on such an intimate level. I feel such a sense of pride knowing that I am enhancing their quality of life in the comfort of their home. Home is where the heart is. Positively impacting so many lives on such a personal level is what I enjoy most about my career in Home Care.

What is the most difficult aspect of home care?

It’s often hard to admit when it is time for additional help at home. It is a very emotional decision for Clients and families, and they often have much anxiety over it. While seeing clients and families go through this emotional roller coaster is difficult, I find it very rewarding to be able to help them navigate through this process. My ultimate goal is to make the transition into home care a smooth and comforting choice.

Why should families consider PAN?

PAN is nurse owned and operated and not part of a franchise. Since 1987, PAN has been committed to providing Clients with the highest standard of quality home care with knowledgeable, dedicated, and compassionate caregivers. Each client has an RN assessment of needs prior to beginning services, and care plans are updated regularly. PAN is intimately involved in all aspects of Client care and consistently communicates with Clients, their families and their physicians to ensure needs are being met. PAN understands the decision to hire home care is difficult. PAN recognizes this and works very closely with each family to make sure they are comfortable and confident with every aspect of home care.
